The Art of Racing in the Rain
Just started it last night. The first few pages almost made me get teary eyed - the description of the old dog
No spoilers please - i'm only in the first few chapters. But please tell me, am i going to be sobbing at some point? I can't handle sad dog stories at all!

Re: The Art of Racing in the Rain
You sobbed in beginning. You may sob again, or you may not.
Either way, I really enjoyed it. Great fast read.

Re: The Art of Racing in the Rain
I teared up a couple of times while reading this book, but it's one of my all-time favorites.

The Art of Racing in the Rain
I just read this last week. It was really good. It is definitely emotional at many parts.

The book made me tear at times, but it was a good and I'm glad I read it.
I found the ending even left me with a bit of smile.

I didn't love this one (the racing analogies bored me). Have you read A Dog's Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron? It's similar, but I liked it much better.

LOVED that book. It was one, big long cry but in the very best way possible. They actually just came out with another one, A Dog's Journey. I haven't read it yet though!

Re: The Art of Racing in the Rain
Loved this book. Never fully sobbed, but definitely teared up at a few points in the book.
I went into it with very low expectations. Saying to myself "really, a dog narrating a book?". But actually wound up really enjoying it.

Re: The Art of Racing in the Rain
I got teary a few times but not sobbing. I remember liking the book but the parts where the racing stuff got too technical was a little boring to me.
