The art of racing in the rain
It is about a couple written from the dogs point of view. I started reading it and started crying hysterically. I am also a dog lover. Anyone read it? Does it get really sad?

Re: The art of racing in the rain
I started to read it not long ago, but I didnt get very far since our family dog had just died. I had to stop...it was probably really bad timing. I hope to pick it up again at some point in the future, so I'd love to read some reviews.

Re: The art of racing in the rain
This book is soo good! Try to read it all the way through. You will cry, you will laugh, but more important...you will have a new respect for your dog and the love that they have for you and vice versa. It was a book club selection of ours and I really enjoyed it.

Re: The art of racing in the rain
If I remember correctly, the book started off with the dog telling you how it was going to end so for me it was easier to deal with. I liked the book very much but there were a few too many technical race car driving details for me unless they were so symbolic the references went right over my head...

I've heard such great things about this book, even picked it up to buy it and then thought better of it. I couldn't finish Marley and Me, I was sobbing uncontrollably. Should I just skip this book?

It was a great book. I liked the message I walked away with. I think it is really worth the read if you have animals.

Yes, I cried but I think I was also due for a good cry.
It was a good book, easy read, I finished in just a few hours.

Re: The art of racing in the rain
I just finished this. I absolotely loved it. It touched my heart and soul. I am the biggest dog lover and this reinforced my love for them (especially my dog) We all know that the lives of our furry friends end way too quickly but this book helps us to make each moment with them even more special. My husband just starting it and loves it as well! A MUST READ
