OPK question
I am just starting to use the OPK this month, today was my first day testing, I got a light and a dark line, does it mean I will be ovulating soon, or will I always have the second line and just have to wait until it gets dark as the first? Thanks in advance!!

Re: OPK question
I wonder this as well...which tests are you using?
The first ones I used, once you got the second line it meant you were near ovulation----the ones I used last month, the line had to be darker, and on this one, there were always 2 lines....

Re: OPK question
I always have 2 lines on mine also. The second line has to be just as dark as the control line for a positive.

Re: OPK question
They say you can not interpret the lines-but I have found the closer I am to O the darker the line gets-my rule is on the day I think this line is the same exact color I test on the next day and it really is the same exact color

Re: OPK question
I felt the same way when i first started, i kept getting light lines that were not as dark as the control line, but on the real day or two before i ovulated i got really really dark test lines (darker then the control ones), so i knew i had. and now that it is done, i am back to a light line, they say that you can have the hormone in your body at all times which is why it may show up when your not ovulating (hence the light line),it just will be really strong right before you ovulate, which will cause the darker line. hope i am not confusing :) i also was using dollar store OPK tests so when I got the dark lines on it,i also tested with a clearblue OPK test just to be sure
