Re: Where We Belong - Emily Giffin
I have my copy but haven't started yet, because I want to finish Gone Girl. BUT- I met her tonight and got my book signed. She's awesome, down to earth, and funny. I was able to have a brief little conversation with her as well.

Where We Belong - Emily Giffin
I liked it ,but I didn't love it. I prefer some of her other books. Also, I wish she provided a bit more closure at the end. Maybe a sequel ?

There's definitely room for a sequel, but I kind of liked the open ending, and I don't usually like open endings. (Some spoilers ahead) I thought Kirby's situation had good closure. Marian learned a lot about herself and what she is looking for out of life. I kind of think that is sufficient closure for me. If there is a sequel, I think it would be best if written from the viewpoint of Conrad, because he was the character (of the 3) that was explored the least. Would be interesting to see some of the past from his eyes, and what he does going forward.

YES!! That would be perfect. I'd love to hear his point of view. She may do that- she switched narrators for Something Borrowed and Something Blue.

I completely agree. I hope that is her next move. Btw, The "Something" books are my two favorites.

Re: Where We Belong - Emily Giffin
I liked it, but I wouldn't have picked it out of a line up that it was specifically her book.
Also I didn't like that she didn't mention any of her other characters from previous books (unless I missed it?), this was her first book she didn't have a tiny bit/blurb about an older character and seeing it partly took place in NYC it would have been easy enough to do.

SPOILER AHEAD: you missed it! She definitely did. It was about Claudia and Ben from Baby Proof. Claudia was one of the friends (along with Jess) that Marian was meeting for drinks and packing with. Do you want me to tell you what the specifics are?? Also, she said at her signing that she does this for her fans, and it seemed like she would continue to do it.

I cannot believe I missed it. I feel better now that I know it is there, need to go back and re-read more carefully! Thanks.

Re: Where We Belong - Emily Giffin
I really liked it but not as much as some of her other books. I liked both Somethings and Heart of the Matter better; liked it about the same as Love the One You're With; and liked it better than Baby Proof.
