what to serve at a fantasy football draft?
so fh's college friends are coming over monday night for their annual in person fantasy football draft..there will be 12 of them
what should i serve?
fh has handled the food in the past, so it's usually been beer, chips, and a hero
i was thinking:
beer chips and dip homemade frank's hot wings soy garlic wings parmesean garlic wings
and then maybe a chili bar? with chili in the crockpot and then baked potatoes, cheese, onions, etc?
fh says the wings/chips and dip are enough bc in the past they barely touched the hero anyways
or maybe do the wings and then have sweets? or more types of wings?

I think its too early for chili- thats more of a cold weather meal.
But you could do a pulled pork in the crock pot to make it easy and serve it on buns to make sandwiches.
I would also only do 2 types of wings- buffalo and bbq but everytime we've served them only buffalo gets eaten. I get the bbq for me :)

Re: what to serve at a fantasy football draft?
I would have said buffalo chicken wing dip because every guy I know loves it and says it's addictive... but you are already doing wings. I think 3 wing flavors and some other smaller items would be enough. The chili bar was a good idea, but it probably would be too much food and as someone said, it is more of a fall/winter item and not seasonal. I would do the beer, wings, chips and dip and maybe another appetizer or finger food and then serve some desserts towards the end.

I'd probably keep all the wings and just do different kinds of dip. Pinterest has so many that sounds AMAZING- like this Cheddar Bacon Dip or this Bloomin' Brie Bowl!

I think less is more for this. I know for DH, when him and his friends do their draft they mean business. I could make 10 different things and they probably would not stop long enough to eat it. They actually have one of the guys pick up a ton of double doubles, fries and onion rings from All American every year for the draft!
I would stick with finger food/appetizers, wings, dips, potato skins or loaded fries, nachos maybe?

I think just wings, chips and dip and a hero are fine like your FH said. When my DH hosts his hockey draft he usually gets a hero and beer and his friends bring wings and everyone is happy.

For Dhs fantasy football draft we BBQ - I make Mac and potato salad and peppers and onions so they can have sausage and pepper heroes. Other than that it's chips, dip, cheese and pepperoni, and other snacks. The men bring beer.

Yeah it's definitely a man dip. Honestly, you put bacon and cheese on anything and they'll be happy.

Re: what to serve at a fantasy football draft?
Do you mean soy sauce or fake soy wings? Just curious.
I would do a buffalo chicken dip, a taco dip, guacamole, and maybe those jalapeno poppers you get at BJs. I know my DH and his friends would rather snack all day than have any kind of sit-down meal. make sure you have ranch and blue cheese dressing for the wings.
I also agree about it being too early for chili.
And YES have sweets Don't over-think it, chocolate chip cookies are fine.

I would just do buffalo wings, hero, and beer if it were me. Maybe some chips and guac also. I prob wouldn't go too nuts...
