please help me with the menu for my son's 3rd birthday party!
I am planning my son's birthday party and I need to get the menu down so I can order the tags.
It's a Curious George costume party theme so I am trying to come up with stuff that goes with his show. I am focusing on italian b/c he is very good friends with Chef Pisghetti (and it's food I can cook decently without much thought hah)
so my ideas are as follows: (we are having adults and kids at this party so trying to please both palates)
Gnocchi's gooey gorgonzola gnocchi
Chef Pisghetti's spaghetti marinara
The Man's marvelous meatballs
Huntley's Hot Dogs
Professor Wiseman's Super Smart Salad
I had a few other ideas but it's hard to find likenesses of some of the characters (the balancing Zucchini's for example)
but I think I need more stuff.
we are serving freshly pressed apple cider for the kids (gotta come up with a name for that!) and other beverages for the adults.
for dessert I am doing cake and cupcakes. I might make popcorn but not decided yet. I am not doing a candy table and not sure if I am going to have any other desserts. Oh, I will also have candy apples.
the kids are taking home pumpkins.
what else...what other food stuffs do you think I need to have. the party is from 1-5 and it's far so I want to make sure people are well fed before they set off home.

Don't know too much about the show but just some random ideas based off the theme:
Just a play on his name....
Curiously tasty__________ (maybe chicken cutlets/fingers or a nice cold cut platter to make sandwiches since it is in the afternoon?)
George's great grilled veggies
For dessert-
Monkey bread
Banana themed dessert- Banana bread or banana pudding pie or my fave chocolate covered bananas!
Or actually you can do a savory monkey bread! Instead of butter with cinnamon & sugar you use herbs. Yum!

I'm not familiar with Curious George characters, so I'm not help there, but I do feel like you need some more.
Definitely a veggie and maybe some chicken? Or a hero, maybe?
I think cake & cupcakes & candy apples is plenty for dessert.
Are you doing any apps?

I would def recommend chicken fingers. Last few BBQs we had the kids and adults all ate them even with many other choices, that was what everyone went for. Isn't there a pigeon character?? 
I tend to go way overboard on desserts. So I would probably also have something else like cookies or brownies or ice cream sundae bar, but that’s my crazy thing.

there IS a pigeon  maybe I will do chicken parm. if the kids don't want the cheese they can scrape it off though the kids that are coming will eat from the stuff I am making.

not really. just maybe some guacamole and some chips/veggies to dip. maybe pretzels. fruit.

Amelia's 5th birthday party is also Curious George themed (monkeys know no gender )
And I'm complelty stealing your Chef Pisgetti idea.
We've having heroes, but making a few dishes. Going to call the baked ziti Chef Pisgetti's.

LOVE it!
I would consider a Banana Split Sunday Bar.. I think it would be fun and tasty..and messy but that's fun too!

Did you see the episode where George "plants" food in cans thinking he would be able to "grow" the food. I would get pots and make the dirt dessert with the candy worms. Alternatively I would make yellow hat cookies.
