I'm so mad!!
I was so excited to sign DD up for Daisy's this year. She has been asking all summer long. I was on the waitlist so I finally get a call last week saying she is placed in a newly formed troop. At the end of the conversation with the troop leader I mentioned that DD would have an aide with her as she has high functioning autism. Well the friggin woman is totally blowing me off now. Won't return any of my calls, was suppose to stop over the house last Wednesday to drop off registration forms and nothing. I am so angry. It is obvious she doesn't want DD in her troop. Way to show compassion!

I'm so mad!!
I'm giving her until next week until I start to blast her as maybe something came up but if I don't hear from her by then the gloves are coming off. I know another leader who said she can squeeze DD into her troop if needed but that's so not the point.

Totally agree. It absolutely is. I just posted a minutes ago that I'm giving her another week incase something happened and I know they start until October.
It's a tricky slope though how much you fight. This parent and all the girls are in DD's grade and DD will be mainstreamed this year or next at the latest so she'll be with these kids for 12 years. I don't want her to be put into a group where she is not wanted as it will isolate her even more because you know they will all talk about her and her "crazy" mother. Nor do I want this woman to get away with discriminating against DD.
The social parts just get worse as they get older.
