Weight Watchers
I did weight watchers in fall 2007. They had different points plan then and also had the core plan. I did core and lost 30 lbs and kept it off until I started fertility treaments to have my DS.
I love their programs and it really works if you follow the plan. THe only thing I don't agree with is that they say you can eat anything....FOr it to really work I think you need to stay away from pre-packaged treats and the junk food.

Agreed! I lost weight on WW and found that inlike a lot ofplans it fit into my lifestyle because you can eat whatever you want.
The difference now (new in 2012) is that it used to be just a calories v. fiber. v. fat thing but now they changed it to really reward you for eating vegetables and fruit and kind of make candy and sugary carb-laden treats less appealing

Re: Weight Watchers
Its not that hard to figure out, I think within 2-3 weeks if you do the research you will have a handle on it. First I suggest even if you want to go to the meetings, get the e tools, even if you just do that to start out its really valuable because you can look up ANYTHING. Build a recipe, get ideas from the message boards, etc. And if you are an etools subscriber, you can download an app to your smart phone for free that lets you scan a barcode and it will tell you the Points Plus Value.
I lost about 12lbs in 3m but I was NOT strict in following it. My friend who is more strict, lost over 20lbs in the same time. Neither of us exercise regularly.

Re: Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers is a great plan to lose weight and keep it off. I lost 60lbs in 2008 and kept it off for 4 years (I'm pregnant now but will be right back on plan after I give birth). The points plan is very easy to follow. It's not just about every food having a point value either- WW works on promoting healthy eating, exercise and healthy long term habits. I highly recommend the plan!

THanks for the responses.. I'm most nervous about figuring out the point plan-Is it easy? . It's so easy! I joined in late July and I've lost 19 lbs so far. I need to attend meetings because I need to be accountable. The plan is easy to follow. I track every thing on my phone through the weight watchers ap! You can eat whatever you want but this program rewards you with eating a lot of fruit and veggies. I was scared to join thinking nothing would work for me but I'm glad I did join. I never feel hungry and I'm losing weight steadily now.
