Swollen salivary gland
I think I have this. Can't get to my doctor until tomorrow. I'm trying the lemon and drinking water. Anyone know if anything else I can do to unblock it. Eating is a nightmare!

Swollen salivary gland
Just suck on anything sour. My dh had this twice and the more you salivate the more you'll release it I guess. Good luck, I know it's painful!

Is that like a little clear bubble on your lip?

Re: Swollen salivary gland
Well I self diagnosed after googling. I have swelling by my jaw under and next to one of my ears and it gets worse when I am eating. It is in no other area (not my lip)

Re: Swollen salivary gland
I have chronic salivary stones, which is probably what you have. Honestly, I would avoid the lemons and eating right now. Just drink lots of fluids. Your regular dr probably wont be able to do much. You need an oral surgeon to do an xray to see if there is a stone in there. I go to Dr. Kelsch at LIJ - he is AMAZING. Smart man, kind, and answers emails.
