Okay, I have no idea what this is. I've heard about it but never thought about it. Can anyone please shed some light on this? How do you apply to get in?

I went on the website and called the number there. They put DD on a list. Apparently they are in the middle of getting a daisy troop leader trained in our area.

Re: Daisies Girl Scouts

If they don't have any openings at your school, ask if any other schools in your district or area have openings. I have 3 girls in my troop from other schools in our district, one from out of district and 6 from our school.

The registraion coordinator at the Girl Scouts sends me emails asking if I have openings. They can probably find you a spot somewhere else.

Re: Daisies Girl Scouts

Hi Christine; as a Daisy leader I will say the main office (in Commack anyway) is very disorganized. We'll call & leave msgs. for CPR training or something else impt. & get called a week later.

I know there are over 50 girls on a waitlist (not sure if just in our service unit--Suffolk South Shore) or throughout Suffolk.

E/ troop can only have a certain number of girls/leader ratio--once they are full they go on the waitlist & when an opening happens, they should be calling you. OR if someone steps up to become a new leader.

Every girl has to be registered though & they obviously go off the waitlist first.
