Thanks. I was wondering about being in it now and parents being allowed to stay at meetings. I am having a discussion on another board and they can not understand why parents would not be allowed for liability reasons.

When I went, Parents did stay but sat towards the back of the church hall and had some "adult time" While we and the troop leaders did our thing.
Only time parents werent allowed was when we went camping for a weekend...then it was just the leaders and girls

My mom is a leader, she usually just has like 1 or 2 parents as co-leaders/helpers. I am not sure if the other parents are not allowed... I think they could stay if they wanted

I was a Brownie Leader a few years ago and we did not have the parents there for the meeting. We did have one parent each meeting there as a helper but the rest of the parents came after the meeting to pick the kids up

My daughter is a girl scout. The parents do not stay, although if one wanted to I'm sure the leaders would welcome the help. I've never had the feeling that parents were not "allowed."

I am a Girl Scout leader and I do have parents who stay at the meeting but they stay in the back of the room. If I need them, they will come and help.
