Grooming and cats

I have a stupid question, my cat hated to be brushed. She is a long hair cat, and alot of times she gets poop stuck in hair (not due to a dirty litter box, im ocd and clean that thing a million times a day) My DH told me to take to petco to have her groomed, do they do this, does anyone have any exp with this. I live in Hicksville, going to make some calls today but wanted to get some input first.. TIA
