2013 half marathons?
I want to do a half marathon in the spring but i don't want to do the LI half again. Which races do you suggest? I see there is a half in brooklyn i think 5/19 and there are a few in nyc...but does anyone have the dates for 2013?

The Suffolk county half is in march... It's on Nichols road starting/finishing at Suffolk community college. I think I'm doing the Disney princess half in February.

thanks! i saw the suffolk half but it looks so boring just going up and down nichol's ! i don't do well on long stretches! lol! i would love to do disney! some day :) i'm thinking brooklyn half in april maybe . did you do the 10k or half at entenman's yesterday?

I ran the Brooklyn Half the past 2 years and LOVED it!! I have a sad feeling that they might make it a lottery next year, it's been selling out in hours. I enjoyed it much more than the LI Half, despite it being a bit of a headache to get to and from. The Coney Island finish is awesome. It's been the weekend before Memorial Day the past few years, which can be borderline hot, which I don't like either.
As the pp stated, there is Suffolk in March. There is also the NYC Half in March, but that is a lottery. The More women's half is in NYC in April. And then the NYC 13.1 which is usually the same weekend as Suffolk - that is in Flushing Meadows Park. So you have a few options!!

thanks! i couldn't find any info online about the 2013 races!

i didn't make it to entenmanns... i was in florida when they cancelled day of registration and by the time i got back it was sold out.
i thought the suffolk half would be boring too but i actually liked it... there were a bunch of LIFers there too.
