I'm really afraid, and need help?

Hi there everyone, my name is Anuhea, people call me Anu for short....Lets see, my problem is about a D & C this year around my 1st daughter's Birthday in May....My heart was really broken when this happened, I really don't know what happened, I was excitied about this pregnancy, I bled throughout this pregnancy and went to the E.R two times, and they did an ultrasound and said everything was okay....Two days after I called my midwife and told her what had happenedand scuhduled an ultrasound and found out I was 8 weeks and my fetus stopped growing so the ultrasound said...In actuallity I was suppose to be 10 weeks that day too, I went to hear a heartbeat.....I started to break down, me and my husband have been waiting for this moment and wanted my daughter to have someone to play with...Okay once I had the D & C done I bled for three days and then spotted for two...Ever since then till now, I haven't had a period..I'm so afraid of what the outcome maybe, ma and my husband did share some intamate moments after. I'm afriad to go to the dr., maybe I might be pregnant or something could be treibley wrong....Where I can't have anymore babies....Please help me, give me some advice that will help me get my spirits up, I really do want to get pregnant, and so does his family.....I need some Comfort and advice, please help me.........

I agree with Bella Paige, you really should go to the DR. and address your concerns.

SOme of the girls on this site had m/c and became pregnant pretty quickly after.
It coudl be pregnancy, hormonal.
I know that you are scared, but hopefully a doctors visit will put your mind @ ease.

You need to go to the Dr YOU could be messing up your future fertility. It's possible you still have tissue creating hcg which is why you have not gotten your period. Many people have a miscarriage and go on to have healthy babies but call your DR!

Re: I'm really afraid, and need help?

You didn't have a follow up to your d & c? I had a D&C in June and had a follow up appointment with my doctor two weeks after to make sure that the tissue was gone and my uterus had gone back to normal. My doctor told me that if I did not start my period in 60 days to call her. You need to talk to a doctor and make sure everything is okay. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I agree, please don't be scared, it's better to find out if there is a problem NOW then to wait and have it be irreversable.....

What's a D&C? I know what it stands for, but what is it exactly? Sorry about the silly question...

Dilation and curettage (D&C) is a procedure in which the opening of the cervix is dilated or stretched and tissue from the uterus is curreted (scraped or removed). This minor surgical procedure can be used to diagnose conditions such as cancer of the uterus and to treat and diagnose the source of conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding. It is also a treatment for certain types of abnormal bleeding (e.g., polyps). D&C can also be used to remove tissue that remains in the uterus after a miscarriage and to perform an elective abortion beyond the first trimester (dilation and evacuation).
