What oil do you cook/bake with?
We're trying to go organic and stay away from GMOs...
What oils do you use for cooking and baking?
We're staying away from coconut oil right now.. any other suggestions?

What oil do you cook/bake with?
Olive oil for cooking, sometimes canola. Canola for baking. Spectrum brand oils are organic and non-GMO in the case of canola.

Re: What oil do you cook/bake with?
Any particular reason you're staying away from coconut?
We recently started using organic coconut oil. I used to use vegetable and olive oils but when I started "operation eliminate GMOs" from our diets out went all the conventional oils, especially anything based in corn and canola which I rarely used anyway. For me it's easier to find the organic coconut than it is to find organic other kinds of oils so that's what we use.

Re: What oil do you cook/bake with?
I use olive oil and canola for cooking because olive oil burns faster its best to mix it with canola however you can finish it off with olive oil because it has a better taste. and canola or vegetable oil/ shortening for baking.

Butter, ghee, olive oil and coconut oil, all for the same non gmo reasons. I have been using spectrum coconut oil, but just ordered nutiva organic unrefined coconut oil.

Re: What oil do you cook/bake with?
I have no extra money.
I use Olive oil, canola oil and peanut oil. I use butter for baking and sometimes to cook.
That's it.

Re: What oil do you cook/bake with?
I only use extra virgin olive oil for veggies, salads and all cooking except frying.
I use extra light olive oil for frying and baking.
