Just started reading Matched by Ally Condie
Anyone else read it? I saw it on a Pinterest of "if you liked Hunger Games". I'm a few chapters in and it seems lighter than HG.... I'm liking it though! I was looking for a new series!

Re: Just started reading Matched by Ally Condie
I read the first 2, the 3rd one just came out this month and haven't gotten to it yet. Liked them, didn't love them.
LOVED the Divergent series by Veronica Roth (also has 2 of the 3 published so far) It's being made into a movie, can not wait to see it.
Legend by Marie Lu was also good. The 2nd book in the series comes out in January.
The Witch & Wizard series by Richard Patterson was good.
Another teen post-apocalyptic series I really liked that I don't think is that well known is the Forest of Hands & Teeth by Carrie Ryan.

I really like Matched, and then I read Crossed and that was just ok. The style seemed different and it was hard to stay interested. I think the 3rd one just came out but it's not available in the library yet, so I am going to wait.
Have you read Divergent? I loved it.
I also really liked Maze Runner.

I must have seen the same "if you like Hunger Games" thing that you did. Read Matched, Crossed, and Reached. Definitely lighter than HG, but I liked them.

Read Matched, but thought it was just okay.
Loved the Divergent Series (2 books out now, 1 out next year), Delirium Series (2 books out now, 1 out next year), and Pure Series(1 book out now, 2 out later). Uglies Series was okay...
Delirium I think was the best one.

Same here. Liked the first book, really didn't like the second book - I was bored. Don't know if I will read the third.
I loved Divergent. They are making it a movie - realease is scheduled for March 2014!

Seriously. These were amazing! I liked Maze Runner, too. Didn't love it though. I wasn't a big fan of Witch & Wizard by James Patterson. It was a really obvious and childish rip off of Harry Potter.
Uglies is a good dystopian series, too. A bit older than the others, but I really enjoyed it. There's 4 books in the Uglies series and they are all out. Hollowland is a good one, too. It's zombies. The first two books are out, but that's it.
Last one I can think of is The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I really liked this book a lot, better than Twilight in fact. It's a stand alone book.
