Paris?
I am thinking of surprising DH for a long weekend there, 4 nights. Can anyone recommend a hotel or an area of the city to stay?
Ok, I did some searches which leads me to my second question - when is the best time to go? Does anyone know of any deals running?

Re: Paris?
We went to Paris in Feb. 05 during the presidents week break and got great deal on airfare from delta.com i think we only paid 800 round trip for both of us, and it was a non stop flight.
We stayed at the Hotel de Fleurie. you can look it up on google.
We had a great time and while it was cold, the great thing was that Paris wasn't packed with tourists so we didn't have to wait on any lines at the attractions. I would love to go back in the spring time though.

Re: Paris?
I don't know any hotels, in Paris. My aunt lives there and I usually stay with her.
But I love the area of Monmartre! It is the old artist's quarter and it is just gorgeous! The most beautiful church, St. Concouer is there.

Re: Paris?
My DH and I were there for New Year's, and it was amazing!!!!
I know everyone says Paris in the Spring is the best, but I am partial to snow and the winter. SO, I loved Paris in the winter, with light snow falling as we walked the streets.
We stayed at Le Meurice, it was a few blocks from The Louvre
"The legendary Le Meurice is a luxury hotel in the heart of Paris with a prestigious location between Place de la Concorde and the Louvre on the fashionable rue de Rivoli. Following centuries in which Le Meurice has played host to international royalty, fashion designers and countless public figures, this five-star Paris hotel is a place where history and the latest fashionable trends meet.
Surrounded by Parisian cafes, the romantic Tuileries Garden, trendy boutiques, from Maria Luisa to Colette, Hermes to Chanel, Goyard to John Galliano, Cartier and all the jewellers of Place Vendôme, Le Meurice reflects the lively rhythm and elegant ambience of the chic 1st arrondissement in the heart of Paris. "

I like the 7th Andronissment. It is near the Eiffel Tower, convienent to the Metro and Bus lines and I love the Rue Cler market.

Re: Paris?
We just booked a brand new Radisson Hotel that opened up overlooking the Arc D'Triumph on the Champs Elyese
Rates were not bad either.
