Thanks to ALL the teachers :)

I just wanted to send a big hug and word of encouragement to all the teachers working in low-income schools. I never get gifts or cards at the holidays and its easy to see all of our teacher friends on the island getting all these generous gifts and feel unappreciated or left out.

We don't do it for the perks or gifts, obviously, but hearing all these moms ask about what nice things they can do for their kids' teachers, I often wish that someone would do that for me. They aren't going to, but its not because they don't appreciate us.

So to all the teachers who won't get a single thank-you this year.....thank you. Thanks for sacrificing all of the perks and accolades to do an important job for these kids. I see you, I work with you, and its a special community of people who are doing this work.
