Another chemical..

It's our 5 year anniversary and I found out we miscarried again.. We did in the beginning of Nov. as well. What are my next steps? Is this ok to have them recurring like this? I had one in 2009 but went on a couple months later to have a healthy pregnancy with my DD, and I was told chemicals happen often etc etc by my OB. Now that it happened twice in a couple months should I seek help from a speacialist? Or just wait this out? I just moved so the OB I thought I was going to use was ridiculous. The woman who answers the phone Wouldn't set an appt bc she kept saying they can't do anything after the fact since its soo early and she wouldn't put the OB on the phone..

I'm just soo upset, we won't be able to try for months bc my husband is getting back surgery in a few weeks.. I have two healthy kids and I am extremely blessed and grateful and feel like maybe having anymore isn't in Gods plan.. Srry I'm all over the place, thanks to anyone who read this.. Chat Icon

im sorry your going through this. i would call the office and leave a message for your OB to call you back. If anyone asks whats its referring to, say its personal and you would just like to speak with the OB. I dont know much about chemicals, except that they are common, but i dont know about testing if someone has had more than 1.

Re: Another chemical..

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a chemical in June and Nov last year and after the 2nd my OB recommended I see and RE.

If I were you I would probably call an RE just to get things checked out and go from there.

Another chemical..

has your ob run any tests yet? There is a blood test called the recurrent pregnancy loss panel. It tests for lots of common reasons for mc, mostly blood issues. Its a good starting point. I dont think a RE consult is out of the questions or extreme either.

I am in the same boat of wanting a third and hoping its in the cards. Holding onto hope!!!!!

Re: Another chemical..

Thank you everyone for the advice!

I'm going to call my OB back on monday and make sure I speak to her on the phone. I've never gotten blood work done before, and I'm tired of being told this is normal, when it doesn't feel normal.. So hopefully they can do the screenings, otherwise I guess I will be in search for an RE!

Again thanks so much for the advice.Chat Icon
