Update: It was a chemical pregnancy. Need help for next month...
Final update: Tested again yesterday morning & got my 3rd BFP. Then 6 hours later, I started bleeding. On to next month...
Is there any reason I should see a Dr. at this point? This was our 1st month really trying, but I suspect last month I may have had a chemical pregnancy because I had the EXACT same symptoms as this month (different than regular PMS symptoms) & AF was 4 days late (which it never is)...I should have tested but I didn't. Also, my cycles are usually 24 days long & I get a positive OPK on day 12 (I started using OPK months before we started TTC just out of curiosity), which might mean short luteal phase. DH thinks we should wait since we're so early in the process.
Also, I'm already taking extra B6, B12 & baby aspirin. Anything else I should be doing/ taking?
***********Thanks ladies for your help & support!!************************
Original message: I tested Sunday morning (12 dpo w/ Clear Blue digital) & got BFP. Tested again yesterday afternoon w/ 1st Response & got BFN. Tested again this morning w/ AccuCheck & also got BFN. No AF yet, temps still high, boobs still sore. Oh, and I am on CD 30 today...my cycle is usually 24 days.
Update: So I tested again this morning with Clear Blue Digital & got BFP!!! But I'm worried because my BBT was 97.7 this morning instead of the 98.4-98.6 its been since O. Isn't a lower temp usually a bad sign? Has anyone here gotten a low temp after a BFP & stayed pregnant? I'm feeling so emotional right now. I don't want to get excited over the BFP yet.

Re: What would you make of this??? So frustrated...
Do you know when you ovulated? I think the digitals require a higher level of HCG to detect pregnancy. Are all of the tests you mention digital? You might want to try with a regular test.
Good luck!

Go to the doctor for a blood test. I would also check again with the same brand test you got the BFP.

Anna - is your temp today still above the coverline? It's hard to tell anything based on one temp, you need to see a pattern - so one weird one doesn't really mean much.
You should probably make an appointment to see your doctor. A false negative on a test is much more common than a false positive! Good luck!

I don't know much about testing... But I am sending sticky vibes... Also I might walk away from temping at this time because you might drive yourself nuts.
and sticky vibes.

Did you do anything last night/yesterday that might've affected your temp? Unfortunatly, I think it's still too early to draw any conclusions. You'll need to see a pattern. It might just be a freak temp. Fingers crossed for you!

Is 98 still higher than your usual post O temp? Did it drop or is your post O temp normally that low to begin with? Thanks!

They will check your HcG level which is the pregnancy hormone.

LOL...oh, OK! So that's all they'd test for? Not for progesterone levels or whatnot?

Yes, they should also be testing your progesterone level. But the HcG is the pregnancy hormone. That is what the HPTs are detecting when you get the BFP.

Re: Update: It was a chemical pregnancy. Need help for next month...
If you suspect you've had two chemicals it might be worth it to just check in with your ob/gyn - if you do, indeed have a short luteal phase (anything under 10 is considered short), then it may be causing low progesterone, which can cause chemicals/miscarriages. Your ob/gyn can test for this easily by testing your CD21 progesterone level and if it's on the low side, an easy fix is progesterone supplements.

Can they give me progesterone supplements for the cycle they test or do I have to wait for the next month for the supplements to do anything? Meaning if I happen to get pregnant again next month & it turns out I have low progesterone is there anything that can be done?

Re: Update: It was a chemical pregnancy. Need help for next month...
Yes, they can prescribe the supplements the month they test. Basically what they do is have you come in on cycle day21, or 7 days after you ovulate, whichever is sooner, and will draw your blood to test your levels. They should have the results that day and if they are low, they will give you the supplements.
After I had my m/c, my ob/gyn actually prescribed the supplements right away, before my next cycle, as a precautionary measure. I doubt many would do that though...

They should test your progesterone at 7dpo. If your progesterone is on the low side, they can prescribe you progesterone supplements. I am sorry you have to go through this.
