TMI - tampon use
I always want to use tampons more, but that stupid warning on the box always makes me concerned.

Re: TMI - tampon use
When I was a teenager/early twenties, I would wear them for hours, even overnight.
Now I follow the recommended - no more than 4 hours.

TMI - tampon use
I wear them during the day, and I use a thin overnight pad at night. Freaked out over toxic shock syndrome if I wear them overnight.

TMI - tampon use
I may have answered the poll wrong. I use one for like 8-9 hrs overnight (absolutely max, and it does make me nervous). During the day i change every 3-4 hrs.

Re: TMI - tampon use
5-8 Hours during the day.
Always a pad at night or on very heavy days. Partly for the fear but mostly because when it's heavy, I go through and I am not waking up in the middle of the night to change it.

Re: TMI - tampon use
I read on mine you can wear them up to 8 hours now. I used to take them out and sleep in pads but since have DD my periods are so heavy that i end up ruining my sheets if I try pads So i put a new one in before bed and remove it in the morning. Then throughout the day- maybe every 6 hours or so. If it's early and my flow is heavy I have to change it more anyway

Re: TMI - tampon use
I thought TSS was only for teenage girls.
ETA: From a Womens Health site:
Toxic Shock Syndrome, or TSS, is a rare but serious disease that is believed to be associated with tampon use. TSS is also easier to get when you’re a teenager, or under 30.
