Would you let your DC go to this kind of party?

DD is turning 10 this year. She is very daring, and a total tomboyh, all her friends are boys. She wants a trapeze birthdayt party, they have something set up at Eisenhower Park for it.

My biggest reservation is that none of her friends will be allowed to go (I told her she could have 5 friends). Of course they wear harnesses and everything. Would you let your DC go to something like this?

Absolutely! I think that would be awesome. Not sure if I could convince DS, though. He's 9, but I'm not sure if he'd be up for the heights.

I honestly would be reluctant to do so. I've seen that set up and always think it looks flimsy.

You have to sign all sorts of waivers; it makes me uneasy.

I'd have to see the harnesses and safety equipment and check out the companies safety record before I'd agree to anything. I'm a weirdo. Maybe you can send out the safety info with the invite?

I do think it is an AWESOME and creative idea though.. I just can't say for SURE I'd let my kid go.

I think you need to prepare for them going but then suddenly not wanting to do it when they get there. I wouldn't prepay if you don't have to. I personally think it sounds fun but maybe for older kids.

I definitely would!

(says the Mom who was a certified skydiver prior to having kids, so that may have something to do with it)

OMG, yes, yes, yes.

My kids went last year & LOVED it! You should check into pricing because I think I made ~$65/kid

I have the video of my son doing it up on FB if we're friends. He was so proud of himself (and so was I!). In one lesson, he was flying through the air with the greatest of ease! That daring young man on the flying trapeze!!

This is great info! I don't think we are friends but I'm sure I could find you through all the other Lifers. I told her she could have a few friends (plus me of course Chat Icon ) I'm totally doing this party now!

I would let ds go bc I went it was scary as he11 and I'm pretty sure ds would chicken out. I did see a group of girl scouts going before our time slot.
