Question about fruit
I've always been a big fruit eater. But now that I'm keeping track of everything I eat with My Fitness Pal I realize how high in sugar fruit is. So should I limit my fruit intake to keep my sugars down, or is it ok to go over on sugar as long as its from a healthier source? I'm missing my late night apples!

Re: Question about fruit
I'm still losing, eating 4 strawberries with breakfast and 1 Fuji apple a day. Fuji's are one of the sweetest apples out there too.
I think the way you do... natural sugar is not my enemy, if I'm keeping my portions in check.

Re: Question about fruit
I eat 1-2 pieces of fruit a day and I use MFP. I know it's higher in sugar, but to me, it outweighs most of my other healthy snack options. If I wasn't consuming the sugar from the fruit, I would be consuming the carbs or fat in something else, and most likely, more processed. I try to just have everything in moderation

Re: Question about fruit
You can totally gain weight by eating too much fruit. If you're only slightly over on calories I wouldn't worry about it, but if you're not on track with weight loss that could definitely be a part of it.

See that's just it, I'm rarely over on calories, it's the sugar that sometimes messes me up.

Question about fruit
Don't give up your apples! They are so much better than processed crap. Keep your fruit intake what it is and see how your weight loss goes. If it stalls, then I would try cutting it out.

For me personally, I have to strictly watch my sugar if I want to lose belly fat - and that includes fruit. Everybody's body works slightly different, so if you're seeing the results you want then it's probably fine, if you're not, it could be the sugar. At the end of the day, if you take in more sugar than your body needs you are going to store it as fat, it doesn't matter where the sugar came from.

Question about fruit
Sugar is sugar. If you want to include extra fruit cut it from some where else in your diet.
