Please help...Question about feeding mixed fruit and vegetables...
Ok so I bought these mixed fruit combos from Gerber. Now if one of them is Apples bananas and Strawberry lets say can he have it? Even though he's never had Strawberry alone first? Something thing with veggies. I've seen mixed combos with corn but he's never had corn alone. And I don't see corn alone so could I still give him that combo? Same thing with another combo that had spinach...DS has never had spinach.
Basically are fruits and vegetables that come with combos but are not sold alone. So what do I do? Give it to him anyways?
I've also seen stage 2 hawaiin dessert and I got him a guava dessert. Can I try these yet? or should I just call the doctor and ask...

Re: Please help...Question about feeding mixed fruit and vegetables...
The mixed fruits or veggies I started and tried for a few days to see if she had a reaction, just like any other new food.
I didn't do the desserts, didn't feel like she needed all the sugar in it at that age.

Re: Please help...Question about feeding mixed fruit and vegetables...
I only give the mixed veggies and fruits only if she's had all of the mix except one.
Like for example, I just bought apples with Cherries, She does fine with apples, so i know if she does react to them it's the cherries, then I don't give her anything new for at least 3 days. Soi can pinpoint exactly what food the reaction came from. Same with the veggies.
I don't and don't plan to give DD the dessert type fruits so I can't be of help there.

That's a good idea. I got this apple bananas and strawberry combo if I try that and he has a reaction to it then I can blame the strawberry cuz he's had the other two and has done fine with them...

my approach would be if everything else is consistent (as DD has had it before with no issues), then if a reaction takes place i would be inclined to think the one new thing was the trigger .
Yeah it makes sense...

Re: Please help...Question about feeding mixed fruit and vegetables...
Andrew never had a reaction from any fruits or veggies alone so I figured that it would be safe.
The only way to find out is try it. I would do it for the 3 days and if he did get a reaction, I knew what the problem was.
I want Andrew to experience all fruits and veggies early so he get's used to them. That is why I have him try everything

That is exactly what I am going to do.
I also want him to experience a lot of the fruits early.
