I've been doing yoga workouts - both hot yoga in a studio, and 45 min yoga classes at home...i sweat and i'm sore the next day. Can I just do yoga and expect to get into good shape? I see all these celebs that swear by yoga....wondering if there is anyone who JUST does Yoga and has seen great results / lost weight? TIA!

Yes! When I'm doing yoga consistently (4-5 days a week) my body looks great! Lots lean muscles. I also tend to eat more mindfully. I don't need to loose weight so thats not a goal. The yoga you are doing has to be tough though. Vinyasa is my fav because you are getting a good cardio workout while also doing your usual poses.

I have to get my ass back. I haven't been in over 3 months and it showsChat Icon

This! ... I would try a Vinyasa yoga....as the pp said you get a great cardio workout along with the benefits of yoga...stretching and building strength.

I do Bikram and have to go at least 4 days or more a week to notice a really big difference. And diet plays a huge part too.

Realistically, that's not do-able with my schedule, but when timing is right, if I can hit 3 days a week I feel like it still is better than nothing.

This is the only type of "exercise" I really have found that I have stuck with.

I have noticed some people, when they have yoga challenges on at my studio, whose body really changes a lot.

One of them though I KNOW goes to at least 2 classes a day though.

Unless you aren't working and don't have kids, (which I am pretty sure is this person's case), I don't know how one would have time for that.

I have a friend who does Acro Yoga. SHe is the leanest and strongest she has ever been. But like anything else it is in combo with good healthy eating habits and its regualr exercise.
