If you had the Flu, how long did it take..
..to fully recover and did you take any medication for it?

I had the flu a few years ago.
It took me a week and half for the respiratory symptoms to go away. A whole month for the fatigue to go away.
I took Tamiflu

I still have a cough from when I had the flu two months ago but I have asthma so no matter what type of cold I get this happens. The flu symptoms didn't last more than 5 days.

If you had the Flu, how long did it take..
I got the flu and it lasted about a week but I was still tired when i caught H1N1 so I went down again. I was out another week really.
All and all I missed 3 days of work total.
It was fine.
fatigue usually takes me two days to recover fully.
But I never get vomiting or bathroom issues so I'm fairly hydrated. I truly feel being dehydrated really drains you out. That and I listen to my body. It was to sleep in and im sick, then I do.. for as long as it takes.
ETA: no drugs .. ever
Tylenol and some claritin maybe.

3-4 weeks.
Yes, I was on tamiflu and 3 other meds.

I got the flu in Jan 2012. It was brutal. Took Tamiflu along with some other Rx meds (can't remember which). Took me about a week before I felt better. First 3-4 days were really difficult. After that I was not great but functioning.
ETA: It was bad enough that I will never not get the flu shot again. Got it in Oct this year. The body aches alone were just brutal. Never again.

If you had the Flu, how long did it take..
After a week I felt about 85% better...I had a sinus infection on top of the flu, so I was on antibiotics for the infection. For the flu, I just took Theraflu and advil. I felt 100% by 2 weeks.

This was years ago - the only time I had the actual flu.
I'd say a week to function and be able to work.
But 2 weeks of feeling so tired and fatigued and run down
ETA- no meds other than like motrin for the body aches, OTC cold and flu meds, etc
