What's your choice desserts/baked recipes?
I'm looking for some new ideas.
Figured this goes better here, since I'm looking for healthy/nutritious ones

I made these the other day. I always throw away my over ripe bannana's - now I know what to make with them.
Healthy Banana Cookies
I added cinnamon to mine. I think my bannanas could have gone one more day before making this, but otherwise they were pretty good and fast to make.
You could always add some mini chocolate chips to give them a bit more of sweeter taste.

Re: What's your choice desserts/baked recipes?
Generally, if I am going to eat a dessert (or make one), I just have it or make it without trying to "lighten" it or make it more healthy. I would rather have it less often and have the real thing, for the most part.
But for things like muffins or breads, that I might want to have more often, I have used Cooking Light's recipes. Their baked goods recipes are always lower fat and often substitute healthier items (such as whole grains for white flour). CL has a really good banana bread recipe (with lots of variations). I also recently made their Tuscan Lemon muffins which were pretty good (made with low fat ricotta and olive oil).
Also, I noticed that the Skinnytaste site has some interesting looking sweet recipes for things like homemade granola bars. I think I may try them next week.

I've seen those banana cookies....I've been on such a banana kick, that I can't save any to get ripe
I am hooked on these raisin-apple quinoa bites as a sweet guiltless snack.
I like to have a little dessert, lately I've been just having fruit, a yogurt, sugar free pudding (although I don't like the artificial sweetener).

I haven't tried any of her baking stuff.
I too will use her other recipes too for a "base". For me though, I like a lot let rice/pasta & much more veggies & spice/garlic/flavor.
That's how I feel about desserts. I feel like everything is flour or cake mix based made "light", but often little nutritional value.
I'm trying to add more desserts to my selection that taste good, feel semi indulgent, but have some health benefits too.

Those don't seem very low calorie, are they?
(I don't like dates or coconut)

What about having a piece of good dark chocolate after dinner? That isn't too caloric, if you have just one. And it isn't too processed.
Or how about making your own pudding, to avoid any preservatives or artificial sweeteners?
How about fruit cobbler or crumble, made with fresh fruit, and topped with oats, butter, brown sugar... With ice cream or fresh whipped cream on top!

To be honest, I don't pay attention to calories. I try to eat nutrient dense foods and lots of healthy fats.

I thought I didn't like dates....until I tried it with cream cheese. But I do limit myself since dates have a lot of sugar.

I'm not a big chocolate person, to need that. Do you have any pudding recipes?
Cobbler sounds like a nice option.
I'm not too hung up on calories either (I dont count them at all), I know what's healthy & not in choices. Lately I just feel limited if I don't want processed stuff, yet stuff not too high calorie at the end of the day. Does that make sense?
