Re: Baked Ziti Recipes- Please Share
I cheat and do the easy version on the side of the Ricotta cheese container.
1 container ricotta cheese 1 package shredded mozzarella 16 oz of marinara sauce (it calls for regular sauce, but it's delish with marinara) 1 lb of ziti
I cook the ziti. While it's cooking, combine all the ricotta, half the mozzarella, all of the marinara. Makes a sauce. Add the ziti and mix.
Pour into a baking dish. Top with mozzarella all over.
Bake for about 35-40 minutes covered at 350. Uncover and cook for an additional 10 minutes or so to get the cheese all melty and golden.
YUM. I made this for football night with some chicken parm on the side and it was a hit. Every time I make it people enjoy it. Very easy. Obviously you can make your own sauce or buy a jar (yes I know that's blasphemy to some).

1 lb. of ziti Sauce (jar or homemade) Ricotta Mozzarella (cut up, not shredded)
Mix Ricotta (almost the entire large container) with 2 eggs, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, minced garlic and onion powder.
Layer pan with sauce, cooked ziti, ricotta and mozzarella twice.
Cook at 350 degrees for one hour.

I use 1 box rigatoni
1 jar Classico sauce
Half a container ricotta
Several cups of shredded (I use the packaged)
Cook rigatoni - mix the pasta, ricotta, half the sauce, half the mozz, put in a baking dish.
Pour remaining sauce over the top of it all and the top with remaining shredded cheese.
Cook at 350 about 35-40 min
Occasionally I throw frozen spinach in that I thawed ad drained to make a little healthier and can use low-carb pasta.
Very easy

1 lb. riggatoni 1 pot of meatsauce (I make my own ahead of time) 1 large bag of shredded mozzerella cheese grated pecorino romano
Cook the pasta In a large glass baking dish, spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the dish. Then mix your cooked riggatoni with a few spoonfuls of meatsauce just enough to coat the pasta. Pour the pasta mixture into the baking dish. Then layer shredded mozzerella over the pasta. put another layer of sauce over the cheese. Then sprinkle the pecorino romano over the top of the sauce.
Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes.

I use the one on the back of the Ronzoni Ziti box but I add eggplant in addition to the chopmeat. SO yummy.
I basically peel and cube an eggplant, coat in flour, brown in some olive oil and garlic until brown and slightly tender- then mix into the sauce/meat mixture.
