When school/services end for the summer what will you be doing for your DC?
DS will have approx 4 weeks till next school year and I'm looking for some kind of program for him a couple of days a week. Looking for suggestions, recommendations. Tia!

I am sending DS to Our Reedeemer summer program in Seaford. His cousins go there during the school year for nursery.
It's 3 mornings a week 9:30-12:30 and you need to sign up for 2 week minimum. I'm doing the full 4 weeks and the best thing is it is very affordable!

school ends, then we have 2 weeks before camp starts, then 6 weeks of camp and then 2 weeks before school starts.
we usually just do play dates, and lots of water activities.

If only play dates were the "norm" for special needs children......wouldn't that be nice.

i am sorry you feel this way, but they are and they can be.
they maybe a little different because i cannot drop him off, but they are just the same otherwise.

My DD qualifies for the summer program at her school. (Boces CRC). She gets 2 weeks off and gets back the Monday after 4th of July.

My DS will be going to little village, but for the 2 week inbetween we will be doing play dates also.

My DS is getting the summer program as well. We have 2 weeks off in June and 3 weeks off in August. We plan on doing lots of little family trips. Sesame Place, Aquarium, Museums to fill up the days.

I'm thinking both my kids will qualify for the 6 week summer program(s).
We do playdates before it starts, parks, backyard play. Then when it's finishes, we take a small vacation and do more playdates. Probably trip up to Cape Cod to see my sister for a few days as well before Labor Day Weekend.
