Restaurant in City
If you could choose one place to eat in the city, where would it be and why? Also, what type of food do they serve?
DH and I are going to dinner Fri and need a place to eat!

Crispo!!!
DH and I are there at least once a month and have never been disappointed. I think we've tried everything on the menu. I'd say its Italian-based but there is definitely a wide range of food to choose from. Our favorites are the pork shank and the black truffle ravioli.

Bella Vita on W43rd Street... SOOO GOOD!!! its a pizzeria but it has so much more and the food is fantastic..

LUPA. We try out a lot of different restaurants. I would consider us food snobs. Nothing makes me more angry than spending $100+ on a meal that DH can make better at home.
Lupa in the west village. It is Italian, but real italian, no parmiganana on the menu. It is the only restaurant in Manhattan that I crave and keep going back to. We've never had a bad meal. We are actually going on Friday b/c my parents are taking DS to see Mickey Live at MSG. I cannot wait to eat the cheese board.

I love union sq cafe.
But we get discounted food at all Danny Meyer spots, so it sways us.
Dh ate at gramercy tavern last time we were up there, he said everything was great

We ate at Perilla in the West Village last week and it was DELISH. It's owned by a guy who won on the show Top Chef.
