Proud of my nutcase...
For Christmas in 2011 I got my husband an Airedale puppy for Christmas... we named him Huxley and he's a complete lunatic. The breeder said she was going to show him and I really never thought anything would come of it... Well, last weekend he went to his first show and brought home 8 ribbons! Who would have though my cushion shredding, beer bottle opening, yard destroying dog can behave in a show ring?!?!

Doesn't look like there were any points involved from what I can see from the ribbons but I could be wrong. A pup at their first show getting reserved winners is awesome though! And even though it was just a match, by golly a group 1! Congrats!

You were right! It was just Sweepstakes so no points. But he went down to MD this weekend and got his first major and 3 points! I'm just amazed she gets him to stand still long enough for the judge to check him out! He is always on the move at home!!

Even if it was regular classes and not sweeps, you don't get points for reserve winners, only for winners. First major! Yippee! That's a big deal! I hope they took a photo for you. I didn't show my boy much as a puppy as he was a late maturer. We got our first major in July, still need one more but we're off the circuit for a little while so hopefully someday...Sounds like your little one will finish in a heartbeat!
