Need ideas on where to get a dress - cheap
Daughter (8) is participating in the schools "wax museum" as princess diana. she must dress like her and put together a project board, etc...
I need to find a fancy dress for her ... where the heck am i going to find a dress that is NOT WHITE (Communiony) on the cheap?!
Please help.. i was hoping for a second hand (yard sale) item...

I would try Kohls, Target, Walmart. They always have cheaper dresses.

Maybe try the buy & sell swap thread on FB? Salvation Army? There is a huge on in East Northport. Not sure when they're open. Maybe Goodwill?
I'm trying to think of the dresses my daughter had last year that may be fitting for a princess...

Have you tried places like salvation army, church thift shops. They usually have party or prom stuff that is cheap. I know people use them for costumes for plays etc.

Ebay. Tons of sellers with inexpensive dressy dresses. Search flower girl and tons of styles and colors come up.

I think you can go to a thrift store or good will and find some good options.
However, why not a white one? You could add a huge train and say it's her wedding dress.
