End of year gifts

I'm so torn with what to get DD's teachers for end of the year. She has a 1:1 who I LOVE, and who I credit with much of the progress DD has made this year. I actually think she does much more with/for DD than the actual classroom teacher. What can I give her? I saw something by a Scentsy vendor on here, it is a tart warmer (I think) and says "The best teachers teach from the heart". Is that inappropriate, since she's not actually the classroom "teacher"? But she truly loves my DD and does so much for her. Believe me, I wish I could afford a diamond necklace for this lady...she is that precious to me. What do you think? Any other ideas?

I think the scentsy gift is great. Also maybe a gift card to a restaurant or coffee place near school? And de finitely a note from you. As a teacher, hearing what we mean to you and your child is more priceless than any gift, particularly as an aide, they often dont get the recognition they deserve. Also maybe a note to the principal about how great she is?

Love that keychain. Where did you get it from? I hate this time of year and christmas time. I have to get for so many people I need a second job for it. I have her one main teacher, 5 aides (they all share), her PE, music, art teachers. She switched classes in the middle of the year so I have 8 women there (i think I'm buying then an edible arrangement so they are done), the bus driver, 2 bus matrons, 2 aides who go to afterschool activities with her. I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

I feel bad but I just cannot buy for everyone. I have DS' three teachers then there is OT, PT, PTA, Speech, Social Worker, 2 bus drivers/2 Matrons. I had to draw the line. Even doing a $10 GC is just craziness (especially since I just did gifts for teachers appreciation day). I am going to write a heartfelt thank you to them and hope that my gratitude for all they did for DS is enough.

I think the tart warmer is really nice.

Most of my friends are teachers and they told me No bath and body stuff and no candles. They said gift cards are the best. I am getting his teacher a Id holder with a Amex gift card and everyone else a DD gift card because its across the street from school.

There is 7 aids in the class and they rotate weekly so I am going to get each one 5 or 10.

End of year gifts

My DS's school has them wear name badges. I bought them each a Coach ID holder (only $19 each on sale) and I am putting a Dunkin Donuts gift card in each one.

My son also has a 1:1 aide that has been with him for the past 3 years and will be following him to high school next year. I always struggle because those nice sentimental things all say "teach" on them, and she really isn't a teacher. Although she does A LOT for him, including taking his notes, she really isn't a teacher, so I always avoid that stuff. I do like that keychain, that is so nice! I might have to get one of those next year, but change out the teach part on it. If I had time this year I would get it. What is the turnaround time?

A Vera Bradley lunch tote is something I got one year and she loves it, uses it everyday. This year I did movies and dinner gift certificate in a cute tumbler with million dollar mints with a tag that says "Thanks a million, your help "mint" so much". I struggled, and I am usually not a fan of GC's, but I was getting down to the wire because today was the last full day.

Domino, does she have an actual fan page, or an email address? I only see a spot to friend request her on FB. I was able to message her, but FB said it's in her "other" folder. If anyone knows her, please tell her to check her "other". Thanks :)
