clean eating help
does anyone do this and can give me a quick sample day menu? I downloaded a book but I have 2 small kids and work FT so I need easy, these were all a lot of work. What do you do for grab and go type things, or is that not possible? should I stick to weight watchers then?

Re: clean eating help
I eat gluten free and (mostly) clean. I do have the occasional chips and salsa and such or a bowl of cereal, but for the most part I try to keep about 90% of my diet non-processed foods.
It takes a lot of meal planning. I find the grabbing on the go is very hard. As is eating out. Breakfast is usually either quinoa with almond milk and fresh fruit, or a grapefruit, or GF cereal with fresh fruit. A mid day snack might be carrots with homemade hummus, apple with peanut butter, roasted chickpeas, etc. Lunch I usually make myself a salad of some sort...I like roasted cauliflower with baby bellas and feta cheese or chickpeas, avocado, baked chicken, mushrooms, quinoa, and artichokes. Sometimes I'll do tuna salad, but not too often. Dinner is either fish, red meat (like flank steak), or chicken. Lots of veggies for sides, and potatoes or long grain rice for my starch.
I don't eat breads at all (not even the GF breads) and I limit my pasta to an absolute minimum. I pretty much avoid desserts completely since most are going to be processed. If I want to indulge I make myself chia seed pudding or a smoothie of peanut butter, chocolate almond milk and a banana.
The biggest thing is to eat mostly veggies, fruit, and lean meats. Stay away from too many pre-packaged foods. I cook everything at home now ahead of time and use only ingredients that I know exactly what's in it. No pre-mixed spices or anything like that. I drink lemon water constantly. Stay away from sodas, juice concentrates, etc. Good ol' water is the way to go.
I follow a much stricter GF diet than clean eating, but I still consider it a mostly clean diet since I eat 90% non-processed foods. I'm sure there are others who follow a much stricter clean eating diet though.
