SPIN MUSIC
Here is one list that I used recently and the entire class commented that they loved this workout!
1. Pink Raise Your Glass
Resistance is still light, spriting ahead in the saddle on the first chorus, then add some jumps, and sprint ahead in third during the last few choruses
2. David Guetta Memories
Add resistance. Not a strong hill just yet but at about 7 out of 10 on an imaginary scale. This isn't a slow song. The drill is to keep the cadence of the song but add resistance at least one time.
3. Lady Gaga You and I
Turn that resistance up up up!! This is your first very heavy hill.
4. Kim English Everyday
First minute is active recover. Light resistance pedaling at a steady rate. Then add jumps and sprints.
4. Bruno Mars Feat Lighters
Get right back on that hill about 8/10 and turn it up twice throughout the song. Stay in the saddle until you cant pedal without standing up. Then, stand up add more and keep going.
5. Avirl What the Hell
First minute active recovery. Very light resistance fast feet. Make sure there is some resistance and after the first chorus add jumps and sprints
6. Jay Z with Lincoln Park Numb
Yep, back at it! On that hill. All of the hills of this ride are fast! You add resistance and challenge your legs to me the cadence of the song. Especially during the chorus.
7. Amber No More Tears.
Resistance stays heavy for the first minute. When the song picks up drop down to about 6 or 7 out of 10 (remember this is your imaginary rresistance level. It's different for everybody)
Add in a jumps, sprints iwth the changing music at about 3 minutes there is a slower part. Take out all the bounce for about 30 seconds. Its a leg isolation drill. Then ride to the end out in 3rd.
8. Metallica Enter Sandman
Resistance stays put and so do you. Starting out in 3rd ride for about one minute, reach down add resistance and climb (but quickly) out in third. Pay attention to the music. Let it guide your legs.
9. Cascada Evacuate the Dancefloor.
Lighten up and ride in your favorite position. Easy resistance, easy pace. You'rre starting to cool down.
10. Any slow song of your choice. Cool down, stretch
Also, look up songs on Itunes or whatever program you use called TABATA. ITs 20 seconds of work , followed by 10 sedonds of rest. The 20 seconds of work is an all out sprint. the 10 seconds are your recovery. Find TABATA songs you want. Put about 4 of these songs mixed with any 4 of your favorite songs inbetween them. The songs inbetween can be hills or just total active recovery depending on your level of fitness. That's 8 songs. Add one warmup and one cool down and you have another ride.
Enjoy these!! I'll put up my spin sets each week.

Re: SPIN MUSIC
I used to teach spin! I loved putting my workouts together. Once in a while I debate getting recertified. Seeing this makes me want to!
Btw... Can you keep this your spin thread and keep adding to it? I bookmarked it!

Re: SPIN MUSIC
Not sure what type of music you like but some recent songs we have used in class are
Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke warm up/or slow 3 count jumps
My Songs Know What you did in the DarK: climb with in saddle power bursts
There is also a 'Tabata' track with drum music and a 10 second countdown
Have to think of some more

Love Blurred Line in spin
I don't know why but I think "Summer of 69" would be a great song. I am trying to get into running too and this song always pushes me, but it is a remix version.

Re: SPIN MUSIC
I'm loving the new song You and I by Crystal Fighters. I thought it would be a good spin song for maybe slow up hill and then fast down hill during main chorus. I was going to suggest it to my spin instructor. Could be a bad song for it for all I know.
