Support Group for families of children on the autism spectrum
A friend of mine told me about a support group that she attends 2x per month on Monday nights in Baldwin. For the summer they are meeting in Douglaston with a different schedule, but then back to baldwin in fall. It is run by QSAC (Quality Services for the Autistism Community). I have been going for a few months now and it is a fantastic group. They sometimes just chat about what's going on or else have speakers come in to cover special topics. They offer respite for our kids if they qualify and also a support group for siblings of the autistic children as well! They are looking to boost attendance as they rely on grant money to provide theses services. If anyone is interested I can put you in touch with the organizer, fm me with your email.

I'm going to post the name and email for the facilitator of our group so you can contact her directly. Her name is Ann Denning. It's [email protected].
