Long Beach Waterfront Restaurants
I am hearing from a few people there is this rebuilt section in long Beach with shops and restaurants. Anyone know the actual location? Can you recommend a waterfront restaurant facing the ocean.
Any other recs of dining by the water.

Long Beach Waterfront Restaurants
there isn't too much in the way of waterfront dining in LB (never has been). Two I can think of off the top of my head are the Alegria Hotel (went for drinks once and wouldn't go back) and a pizza shack on New York Ave by the end of the (old) boardwalk (that section isn't rebuilt yet), which isn't really "dining".
Otherwise, there are lots of restaurants in the center of town, on Park Ave, or in the West End, on Beech St.

I have to add that the restaurant at the Alegria Hotel was way overpriced and overrated.
I though the food was just "ok" and the service not great.
I guess you are paying for the view though.

Besides Allegra there isn't any waterfront restaurants in LB. there are many outdoor seating restaurants in the west end - they have rebuilt, revamped menus and need the business. Hope you come down anyway ;)

I admit I haven't been since the hurricane, but used to live down there so think of you guys often.
In any event, LB is always a great night out.
Just walk around by the beach, through town, have dinner somewhere and then just have dessert or coffee outside.
DH and I have done this.
We'd go for sushi and then just sit outside at Starbucks and talk.
We need to make a trip down there soon to see what's re-opened.
P.S. The Allegria wasn't built when we were living in LB so when we saw it last summer we thought it kind of looked out of place if that makes sense. I have heard similar (negative) reviews about it.

Went here the other night and It was great, technically not long beach, but on the bay in point lookout. I have also heard good things about maliblue in lido but have never been myself.
Never been to Alegria but I have not heard one good thing about it.
The snack shack on New York at the end of the boardwalk was always good for what it was but is not open.
There are still a bunch of good places in long beach to eat , just not on the water.

Long Beach Waterfront Restaurants
Allegria is good for drinks, went a few months ago and sat right by the window where the boardwalk is/used to be, such a great view.

Was here last night. It was a 2 to 2 1/2 hour wait for a table and was hopping, actually it seemed that the West End was hopping to. My SIL and my BFF live in LB and said it was the busiest they've seen LB this summer. .

Buoy Bar in Point Lookout or Fisherman's catch are great on the bay. Allergria was way overpriced and I couldn't stand the clientele. Pops is nice but usually really crowded!

Atlantica at Allegria is the only waterfront restaurant in LB. And not all tables will give you a view looking outside. Personally I didn't find the restaurant to be very good - especially for the price. Here are some nearby waterfront places:
Point Lookout clam bar
Fishermans catch (point lookout)
Pops (Island Park)
peters clam bar (Island park)
or go to nautical Mile in freeport - there are a bunch of waterfront restaurants there.
