Long Beach Boardwalk & Restaurants
Can someone tell me where the restaurants/bars are located in Long Beach? I haven't been there in a long time so I'm not sure what exit, how to get there. I know how to get to Lido Beach area. But, I'm looking for a place that you can park and walk to the boardwalk AND a restaurant at NIGHT. TIA!

Re: Long Beach Boardwalk & Restaurants
The only restaurant that is actually on the boardwalk is at the Allegria Hotel - I've heard very mixed things about the food though and it is $$$. The restaurants in the West End of Long Beach are all on Beech Street, which is close to the beach, but no boardwalk down there. In the center of town and east end, restaurants are all on Park Ave. It would be about a 5-10 minute walk to go up to the boardwalk from Park Ave.

Re: Long Beach Boardwalk & Restaurants
If you know how to get yourself to Lido Beach, just keep driving West down the main drag and you will hit Long Beach.
As the PP said, all the restaurants are either on the main drag in the center of town, or on Beech St. if you want to go down to the West End.
I haven't lived down there in a few years, however, I am sure there are people on here who still do, or frequent the area for dining who can give you good recs of where to go and where to avoid.

We ate at Allegria last weekend for the first time. The food is good, but not awesome. We had a $100 gift card and spent an extra $35 on top of that. Had we not had the gift card, I would have felt slightly ripped off. Awesome cocktails though!

Nick's Tuscan Grill is part of the George martin group and just a short walk from the boardwalk. Really good!
Also Lola's isn't far and has *really* good drinks (Coconut martini was the best drink ever!) and is a fun atmosphere.

FYI about Lola's - ate there two weeks ago - got violently ill that night and was sick with very high fever and stomach virus for week and a half. Had all kinds of tests and turns out I have some crazy bacteria that doctor said came from food! I love Lola's but am steering clear right now!!

So, do you think I can find parking, visit the beach and go to the restaurant? Does anyone know if you have to pay to walk on the beach itself at night? Like 8 pm or after?

Nicks and Lolas are two of our favorites! Both are consistently good. Also, Grillfire is good!

They stop charging in the late afternoon/early evening. At 8pm you will not have to pay to get on the beach.
