Pork shoulder (picnic?)

I bought one of these thinking I'd make pulled pork but it's big so I'm thinking of making more of a plain type of shredded pork so i can use some for tacos and then add bbq sauce to the rest. Any ideas on how I could do this? Recipes? Slow cooker hopefully?

LOL just realized I have done this before.

I just made this recently-a little involved, but worth it! It was DELICIOUS.
I'm sorry, I don't know how to adjust for a slow cooker, but there may be a question/answer in the comments section.
You can do anything with the pork once it's done. The flavors in there were mild. We used it for cubans. YUM.

I just made pernil in the crockpot last night using this recipe. It was good!

Also, there are quite a few crockpot pork recipes on skinnytaste.com.

Pork shoulder (picnic?)

Throw it in the slow cooker (low for 6-8 hours) with a can of coke. The meat will fall off the bone!

Then you can shred the meat. I put BBQ sauce in some, keep some plain. Freezes well too!
