Those with Jogging strollers
Silly question, but are they lighter, easier than regular strollers?
Now that I want to run more outside, it's difficult... My oldest starts M-F Kindergarten but my 3yo preschool is only mon/wed/fri. But I'd like to get in a Tuesday &/or Thursday run.
So I thought to get a single jogging stroller. Cause 2xs this week I put them in a regular double stroller & holy moly....torture to complete 3 miles with all that weight!
I know BOBs are the best, but even on CraigsList, I hate to invest that much $$. In 2 years or less I won't need one at all anymore.
Any experience? Anyone have a Schwinn jogger?
TIA!!!

They move much easier than a regular stroller!!! I ran 5 miles yesterday with my triple stroller and it is a no name brand. No experience with a schwin but I am sure it will be better.
Hills are killer though!

They are SO much easier than a regular stroller. Maybe not lighter to carry, but much easier to push.
Schwinn makes some pretty good joggers.

LOL there was a sign in my parking warning no wheelchairs 5% incline..... Should have said no strollers too. My girls kept asking if I was ok.

They are definitely lighter than a regular stroller and easier to push, but I just find them annoying. A lot of times I have my dh watch dd and I run alone.

In an ideal world, I'd love that too! But I'm just happy 3 days a week I'll have solo running time. I'd just love to add tuesday &/or wed too, & this way weekends are free to be with the family (now that my oldest will be in school m-f) KWIM?
I saw a 2010 Bob revolution for $180, but I'm not sure I truly will use it enough, since DD2 is going to be 3 in a few weeks.

I have the BOB and it is fantastic! It is so smooth and I am currently marathon training and take it once a week on a short run (4 miler) with DH. I highly recommend it. It is bulky so I also have a lightweight stroller for the mall etc...

What BOB do you have? I have 2 I'm eyeing. Both are revolutions. One is a 2010 I can get for $180. The other I'm not sure the year, but looks good condition, BUT comes with a ton of accessories (travel bag, weather shield, Sunshield, extra seat cover) but asking $275.
They go to 70lbs...so I could get a few more years with my youngest, who's turning 3 (my oldest is 5 1/2 & under 50lbs)

I have a BOB revolution dual lie and it is awesome. The BOB dual lie is easier than the Baby Trend single jogger I first bought. I have had 100+ pounds of kids in it and it's still manageable.
Whatever you do decide...wheels are the most important component. 12" at least. And a non fixed wheel. You are supposed to run in fixed, but I don't with the BOB. I find turns easier.

What is dual lie? That's what I wondered, I see the stationary options, but how do you turn if it's stationary?

Re: Those with Jogging strollers
Sorry...autocorrect: duallie = double
If you are running, it is supposed to be fixed. You are supposed to push down on the handlebar and lift the front wheel up to turn. If the stroller isn't well made, and the front wheel isn't fixed, it can shake while running. The BOB doesn't at all.
Check out www.joggingstroller.com. It's a great source of information.

LOL gotta love auto spell!
I just don't know what to do... Grab one of the BOBs....one is $180? or the one for $275 with TONS of accessories? Or the Schwinn m3 for $75?

Re: Those with Jogging strollers
I never used any accessories. I didn't have a drink holder or snack tray, but I improvised.
I didn't run with them in the rain, would you want to?
