If you make mac & cheese for your DC's thermo
to bring to lunch at school, do you just cook it in the morning and put it in the thermos hot and seal it? LOL sorry if this is dumb, it's all new to me!

The first time! I try to send mac & cheese freshly made on Friday, then as leftover on Monday.

Re: If you make mac & cheese for your DC's thermo
OK cool thanks! I did it this morning (made him the Annie's mac and cheese). he liked it! Said it wasn't really warm though. Should I put hot water in it before to warm it up? Then dump it and put the food in?

What thermos are you using for the food. My ds loves plain pasta and am looking for a way to send it to school. He is in kindergarten.

I put 10 oz of hot water from our Keurig into the funtainer thermos this morning while the mac and cheese was cooking. When it was done, I dumped out the water and added the mac and cheese (hot water sat in the thermos for 10 mins). DS told me the food was still hot at lunch time.
Now I'm hoping if I reheat the leftovers, that it'll stay warm in the thermos for tomorrow's lunch. It's all new to me too.
