When DC started full day kindergarten
did they start acting out and/or being super cranky? I touched on this in another thread but just curious if others have experienced this. DS has been an absolute nightmare this week after coming home from school. makes me so sad. Luckily he is loving school but this behavior is killing me (he's hit me, spit, been distant, etc.) It is not like him. Hoping its just him being tired and getting used to the long hrs. etc? Anyone experience this?

Re: When DC started full day kindergarten
Yes! My DS has been acting out at home a lot since kindergarten started. He is usually this way when he is tired, or going through a big change. Lots of mouthing off. I know he is tired, but we are getting him to bed early.
He is acting fine at school, and he likes it. I am hoping that it gets better as he adjusts to the new routine,
Glad we are not alone

Yes, I just think its because he is so tired and getting used to such a long day. By October I'm hoping he will be better!

When DC started full day kindergarten
Yes!!! He's normally so sweet and cheery but this week - a monster!
It's normal. It stops. I went through this during beginning of pre-k.
I've enforced little to no sugar and early bed time.
I took off this week from work.. And by Tuesday, I wanted to go back

Yes, totally normal!
DD slept 14 hours the first Friday night and that helped tremendously. She was exhausted!

Re: When DC started full day kindergarten
It took my son weeks to adjust. Even now in 2nd grade it's been a rough first week. His behavior has not been great when he gets off the bus.

If anything, DS is more exhausted. He falls asleep at the drop of a hat.
