Apples, 12 pounds of apples!
We went apple picking and I now have 12 pounds of apples!
How do I store them?
I will use some for baking. But until then I don't want them going bad.

Keep them cold in your fridge and apples can last a few months.

Last year, I had that much. I put mine in the fridge in the coldest place. they usually last about a month or more. i was surprised. i made multiple apple pies, applesauce, apple crisps, chicken and apples, apple chili... i was appled out!!!

We just went apple picking, too!
I always store them in the fridge, in the crisper drawers if possible, and they usually stay for about 2 months.
I plan to make the usual apple desserts (pie, crisp, etc.), but also slow cooker applesauce, and I just saw an interesting recipe for an apple soufflé type dish. I also love eating the farm fresh apples as a snack, on their own, or with a little peanut butter or a small piece of cheese.
