I want to make a pie from scratch. This will be my first time making one. Which should I make? Nothing too complicated.

Homemade pies
Crust too?
I make pecan pie for Thanksgiving every year from scratch except for the crust. It is sooooooo easy. Pretty much foolproof.
Otherwise I would think an Apple Pie would be relatively easy as well.

Homemade pies
My sons favorite pie is chicken pie pie (not pot pie, pie pie).
If you want that recipe let me know.
I use the store brand pie crust and it's good.

Just look on the back of the bottle of Karo corn syrup I do not cook and I'm not much of a baker but pecan pie is simple enough for me to do. The only thing I changed up last year was that I chopped the pecans like pioneer woman did. It was even better!
