Aging dogs or cats with tired joints - I have a suggestion

Our dogs are 6 and 7 years old and I've noticed that one of them is slower to get up and down on the couch. We recently changed their food to a "mature" blend which didn't have as many joint-related nutrients as I wanted (Labs are prone to joint issues - especially in their later years) so I did some research.

I came across a lot of good reviews on this product:

External Image

Description: "Recommended by veterinarians for superior joint health in cats and dogs, DVM Synovi G3 Soft Chews are a comprehensive nutritional supplement offering chondroprotective agents, natural anti-inflammatories, and powerful antioxidants in a moist, tasty, easy-to-chew treat. It’s formulated with glucosamine and Perna Canaliculus for improved joint health, MSM to relieve inflammation, and Creatine Monohydrate for enhanced energy. Plus, it’s fortified with antioxidants and Omega-3 Fatty Acids."

I don't see any difficulty in Ginger anymore and they both definitely have a pep in their step! Chat Icon It's not cheap (it's cheaper at Amazon than in a vets office), but I feel that it's better to avoid pain and injury by supplementing now than to have bigger problems down the line.

Hope this helps Chat Icon

It sounds like what my parents give their older collie- they get it from BJ's, different brand but the same nutrients. But it looks like this might be a bigger package. I'm going to share this with them. Thanks! Chat Icon

Thanks, this is good to know. I will order next time

I also give Jack this

Iceland Pure Unscented Pharmaceutical Grade Salmon Oil For Dogs and Cats.Bottle Size 33 Ounces

it helps with digestion and skin. jack coat is looking like mink of late :)

I also believe in prevention rather than a huge vet bill
