Bathroom poll
We have 3 full bathrooms. In the basement, there is a tub. On the top floor there is a separate tub and shower. We are redoing the main floor bathroom. For resale purposes, should we put a tub, or a big shower?
Thank you!

Re: Bathroom poll
I would go with a tub. Many parents spend all day downstairs in a two story home, if they have a child. If they want to bathe a child, they would need a tub.

this makes a lot of sense but honestly I dont think it will change the price either way when you sell

If we stay in the house, I would want a shower. My oldest take showers now, the 2 youngest take baths...but in the next 2-3 yrs, I see them all taking showers. So while its annoying to go upstairs, I would do it if we were staying in the house. but im not sure if we will, so I was wondering which was better

IMO it doesn't matter. As long as there is a tub on the bedroom floor then I wouldn't care as a buyer.
As a mom with little one I currently only have one bathroom on the main floor and HATE bathing DS and having to lug him upstairs to get dressed....I would rather it on one floor.
With our home if we had a bathroom on the 2nd floor the 1st floor shower/tub would never get used.

Re: Bathroom poll
It probably doesn't matter that much since you have 2 tubs already, but what else is on the main floor? Are all the bedrooms upstairs?

Re: Bathroom poll
I doubt it matters either way since you already have two tubs in the house. If it means the bathroom will be bigger (which I can only assume it would), I would probably just put a shower.

Bathroom poll
All the bedrooms we use are on our top floor. We have a master bath with separate tub and shower and a hall bath with the tub/shower combo. On the main floor, we have a bathroom with a tub/shower combo. I thought we would never use it but we use it all the time. My DS is eight and when he is really dirty and I don't want him tracking dirt all over the house, he goes right in the tub on the main floor. He does usually take showers, but we still use that tub a lot.
