Where to put coats/sneakers?
We have a coat closet next to the front door so we put coats there-Sneakers are let by the door although we could technically put them in the closet.

I have a coat rack by the door. And then nearby, we used to just line up the shoes, but it looked like such a mess so now I just throw them all into a basket

our house does not have a coat closet and our entryway is extremely small so we've had to get creative.
Dh built a cubby area under our stairs for shoes
Its a little hard to see but we can fit tons of shoes
And for jackets, coats, scarves he built a mudroom area near our backdoor which we use very often.

We have a coat closet for us & guests. In the foyer we have a bench & a tray underneath for shoes. Last year we had a "utility" closet transformed into a "mudroom" with a bench that opens to store the kids shoes & book bags.
