Jobs in the mental health field?
Due to funding my currently position (family therapist) will no longer exist as of Jan 1st. Does anyone know of any openings in the field in Eastern Queens or Nassau? I'm open to a clinic, hospital or non-profit.
I have 2 masters degrees and will be sitting for my license exam (mental house counseling) before years end.
I know it's a long shot but I figured checking on here couldn't hurt.

It's tough. I have my Master's in social work and was able to get into the NSLIJ system but ONLY because I knew the Director of my program and the person who was retiring.
I know someone who has his Master's in the same field as you and he has been literally looking for 2 years, but I think he also does not have experience which was holding him back. He said a lot of places told him they are looking for LMSWs/LCSWs. I will FM you the name of the place he just got offered a job.
There are also a few ladies on here who work for Hillside Hospital. Maybe if you post about working there they will respond. Again, not to discourage you though, but it doesn't sound like the type of place that gets a ton of openings.
If you are open to doing case management/field work, I can give you a list of places that are generally always hiring.
