Backfire rom my second opinion
A lot to think about. Dr was amazing. Cleared his schedule and sat with us for over hour and 45 min going over our records etc. For the most part he likes what dr trivax has done.he would've done one or two things differently and that's what hooked me. He agreed w trivax I didn't need the endometrial biopsy but was glad I got the hsg test. He did an exam and took blood to check my Amh level again.
I like him a lot. Unfortunately he doesn't do retrieval and transfers anymore. He's older and does more consulting and monitoring of patients. Good news is I can be monitored in gardens city office by him even though he is westchester. Retrieval and transfer would be in manhattan. I'd have to take the days off anyway so going to Manhattan would not be an issue.
My SO said let's just take the day to think about it before we rush into any decisions. But I think I've made up my mind and want to go with him. RMA embryology is one of the best I heard so that's another factor.
I'm calling him back tomorrow to ask him another question bit I think I will get quality care under him, not that trivax wasn't but I would get more personal care...
Btw if anyone watches how it met your mother. The episode where Lilly And her husband goes to a fertility dr to get checked. The doctors name they use on the show is the dr I saw!!!!

Backfire rom my second opinion
I went to RMA and liked them - got my BFP there. I saw a different doctor at pretty much every monitoring appointment, but it did not bother me. I was under the care of Mukherjee. Ben Sandler did my ER and Jaime Knopman performed my ER. I really liked Knopman.
Important thing to note: The garden city office is not open on the weekends.
Good Luck!!!

What is the change in protocol? Higher stims for shorter period of time? Any added meds? Just curious! Us low AMH girls need that fine tuning of meds to get some good embies!

He said higher Stims- am and pm injections not just pm ones. Adding lupron and a steroid also. He took blood today to check Amh again. He told me it's not a good number but he doesn't base his diagnosis strictly on Amh. I really liked him. That's the goal to get a few more quality embies.
Of course he tells my SO his sperm analysis was great! All the doctors have said this to him. I'm happy he's ok but that just means it's ME that's the issue. :/

Yeah - it was really no big deal. If you can be in and out before 7 then you park on the street. If not there is parking a few blocks away for $17 for all day parking, which is cheaper than the LIRR + subway (from my parents). The parking garage right by RMA is like $22 for a half hour - avoid that one

LOVE dr Mukherjee. He was my dr too and he got me my precious dd. he was amazing. He made himself available to do both my er AND transfer even when he wasn't scheduled. He's my hero.
one of the best drs at RMA and I saw them all in the NYC office. Dh and I joked he was like patch Adams. Wasn't just all about the science like most REs. He understood the emotional side of it too. Plus he always answered my crazy emails.

There's actually a lot of free parking near RMA on the weekends. We usually parked on Park Ave and just walked 1 block and it was after 7am.

I only had to go in once on a Saturday and looked for a spot for 20 mins to no avail. Maybe I picked a bad weekend! I know on Sundays you can park anywhere.

I'm a big Mukherjee fan too! Recently he agreed to do my endo biopsy since I'm doing my local stuff for CCRM @ RMA. The girl I spoke to said they don't do that for local monitoring patients but he graciously said he'd be "happy to help." And he's a gifted surgeon.
