Re: How's everyone doing?
Posted by hoping2013
My brother just had his third baby this morning - a boy - and they named it the same name as the only "baby" I have - my dog.....seriously. I cannot make this up. I am most hurt by the complete insensitivity of it all as he knows I have been trying - 6 iuis. So, I am feeling everything today like I ran into a brick wall suddenly...anger, sadness, sorrow. Am I horrible and shallow? I am pretty sure I will get around to loving this child and getting used to it having the Fff'n same name as my dog, but its going to take some time.
The ipod just played "Blessed" by Elton John randomly and that is giving me hope. On way to RS of NY for NP apt to set me up for 1st IVF for my next cycle. Was feeling hopeful and positive before this morning. Now, drained and tired from crying. Time to find my big girl pants and put them on.......
I know the feeling! I have been dealing with the same issue with my SIL.

Yes we need more positive occurrences on this board!
I finished the rest of my blood work for Kofinas this past Saturday. It feels good to be done with it. I am meeting with him in a week to go over the results, then we will take it from there. I am feeling better about things and am okay with taking a few months off from all of this. It seems like many of us girls are taking some time off!
Does Kofinas take insurance? How much does all of the BW cost? How does it work with going to him? Does he test for immune issues and then work with your RE? Thanks.

How's everyone doing?
Reading all oft our responses. Glad to see some of you taking a break. This month was much needed for us. Although I just turned 40 and clock is ticking and chances are against us, I'm still glad we took this month to regroup. Feels GREAT to be off the meds. I got my AMH results. Went from 0.08 to 0.16 in a month and a half. I know that is still very low but it has the ability to increase and I think acupuncture is helping me. Hang in there ladies. It's so so hard to stay positive we have to for ourselves, mentally and physically. Xo

I actually can't answer a lot of these questions yet. He takes OON benefits but his prices are reasonable. As for the BW, I didn't bother finding out if my insurance covers it because I knew I'd get it done regardless. My RE is willing to follow a different protocol if one is set up-- but I don't know if Kofinas would communicate with him. So depending on my BW results, I'll see what happens and post that.

How's everyone doing?
Still emotionally drained and exhausted with all of this, but trucking along. Don't know if it's that or the clomid but I'm so super sensitive and emotional. Still stimming for an IUI probably Sunday. Looking into changing jobs to get better insurance that will cover IVF again. Until then I'll just save save save...
Hope everyone is doing well today xoxo
